Investment & Info

Therapy is an investment in long‑term healing, emotional regulation, and nervous system resilience. My rates reflect the depth of training I bring to trauma therapy, EMDR therapy, somatic‑informed care, and integrative mind‑body approaches. Standard sessions are 50 minutes, with extended EMDR or trauma‑focused sessions available upon request. Rates are listed at the time of scheduling and may be adjusted annually to reflect ongoing training, clinical expertise, and the high level of care I provide.

A warmly lit therapy space centered on a low, natural oak coffee table holding a small glass vase of willow branches and wildflowers, a ceramic mug of herbal tea, and a neatly closed linen journal. In the background, out of focus, are soft sage-green cushions on a sand-colored sofa, a woven basket, and a framed abstract landscape in muted blues and greens. Late afternoon light filters through sheer curtains, casting gentle, organic shadows across the table surface. Photographic realism with a calm, inviting mood, captured at eye level with shallow depth of field, emphasizing safety, softness, and a grounded, trauma-informed atmosphere for an online counseling practice.

50-55 minute sessions

A close-up of a pair of hands formed from smooth river stones and driftwood artistically arranged on a sand-colored linen cloth, gently cradling a small cluster of wildflowers and a tiny sprig of eucalyptus. Around the arrangement, faint chalk lines trace the outline of a nervous system branching outward like roots. Soft morning light from the right side highlights the textures of stone, wood, and fabric, casting delicate shadows. Photographic realism with a contemplative, hopeful mood, captured with shallow depth of field to emphasize the metaphor of nervous system regulation, safety, and somatic healing in trauma work.

Insurance & Payment Transparency

I am an out‑of‑network provider and do not accept insurance. Many of my clients prefer this model because it protects their privacy, allows us to tailor treatment without restrictions, and keeps your care centered on your needs—not on what a policy will or won’t cover. If you choose to use your benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to understand your out‑of‑network benefits, as reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. This estimate outlines the anticipated number of sessions and total investment based on your goals and the concerns you’re seeking support for. While therapy is individualized and timelines vary, I will always be transparent about costs and collaborate with you to ensure your care feels sustainable and supportive.

Cancellation Policy

Your session time is reserved specifically for you. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments are billed at the full session rate. This policy honors the time and preparation that goes into each session and ensures availability for clients who may be waiting for openings. Exceptions may be made for emergencies at my discretion.

Payment Methods

Payment is due prior to your session. I accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and secure online payments through my client portal, Venmo, and Zelle. If you plan to seek out‑of‑network reimbursement, I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance provider.

Non-Network Reimbursement Guide

If you choose to use your out‑of‑network benefits, here’s a simple process many clients follow:

  1. Call your insurance provider and ask about out‑of‑network mental health coverage.
  2. Ask what percentage they reimburse and whether you have a deductible.
  3. After each month of sessions, submit your superbill directly to your insurance.
  4. Your insurance may send reimbursement directly to you. While I cannot guarantee reimbursement, many clients receive partial repayment depending on their plan.

Your insurance may send reimbursement directly to you. While I cannot guarantee reimbursement, many clients receive partial repayment depending on their plan.

This process can feel confusing at first, and you do not have to navigate it alone. During our work together, I am happy to answer questions about superbills, documentation, and how to talk with your insurance company about your benefits.

What makes Private Pay unique?

Private‑pay therapy allows us to work deeply and intentionally without insurance restrictions. This model supports trauma‑informed care, EMDR therapy, somatic work, and nervous system regulation at a pace that honors your healing; not a policy’s limitations. Private pay also protects your mental health information completely confidential concerning insurance and life insurance companies, and allows us to focus on long‑term healing rather than symptom checklists or session caps. Many clients find that this approach leads to more meaningful, sustainable progress.

Reduced Fee Options

I reserve a small number of reduced‑fee spots for clients who are experiencing financial hardship and would otherwise be unable to access trauma‑informed therapy or EMDR treatment. These spots are limited and offered on a case‑by‑case basis to ensure they remain available for those who need them most. If you’re interested in exploring a reduced‑fee option, we can discuss availability during your free 15-minute consultation
