Caroline Caratini, M.A, LPCC, EMDR, NCC
Recovering Perfectionist, Survivor, Self-Care Enthusiast, Girl Mom & Military Wife
Hey there, I’m Caroline, a Trauma-Informed therapist in Colorado [Hawai’i soon] and a human—just like you.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida, then chose to step away from the career track for a season to be a stay-at-home mom and raise my three girls. In my late twenties, I returned to my calling and completed my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University, graduating with high distinction.
Clinically, I’ve worked in several levels of care, including treatment centers, eating recovery treatment centers, Colorado Children’s Hospital, in-home services, and private practice. I am EMDR trained, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and a Reiki Master. All of these experiences shape the way I sit with clients in the therapy room—bringing together evidence-based trauma therapy, body-based practices, and deep respect for your lived experience.
In our work together, you can expect a grounded, honest, and collaborative space. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe, while still gently nudging the parts of you that are ready for change.

A Little Bit About My Journey:
I grew up in Alaska, raised on adventure and resilience, and those roots still shape the way I show up as a Trauma-Informed therapist, serving clients across Colorado [& soon Hawai’i]. I’m a mom of three daughters, a traveler who’s visited every state in the U.S. and explored Europe, and a somewhat amused collector of running shoes (for reasons I still laugh about). I find peace in adventure, yoga, hiking, and beach days—anything that lets me turn my brain down, breathe, and reconnect with my body and nervous system.
Life has brought me through divorce, trauma, and plenty of ups and downs. These lived experiences are a big part of why I do this work and why I’m so passionate about trauma therapy, EMDR therapy, and anxiety counseling for individuals in Colorado [ & soon Hawai’i] who are navigating overwhelming seasons of life.
My own story doesn’t just live in the past; it shapes how I show up in the therapy room—offering the kind of support for trauma, anxiety, and burnout I needed when it felt like my world was crumbling.
When you meet me as your therapist, you’ll find that I’m blunt and empathetic, caring and hilarious, bubbly and unafraid to speak the truth. In the space we create together, there’s room for dark humor, big feelings, and genuine laughter. You won’t find judgment here—only compassion, honesty, and evidence-based trauma counseling that honors your whole story.
As a former military spouse, I understand the culture of struggle and silence that can surround military life and deployment, and I’m here to help break that pattern. I’m especially passionate about providing support and therapy services for military families in Colorado, military spouses, first responders’ families, and anyone who has learned to “just push through” or who was forced to hide who they truly are.
I often picture people like a tree: a strong trunk with many branches. In therapy, we gently follow those fragile twigs—those tender parts of your story—and support the leaves that are ready to bloom.
Healing is not always sunshine and buttercups. There will be times we laugh so hard we cry, and others where things feel raw, vulnerable, scary, and painful. But in this space, you are not alone. Healing, to me, is about relationship, nervous system healing, and resilience, and remembering that—like wolves—we survive best in connection.
My hope is that, through our work together, you’ll feel safer in your own body, clearer in your story, and more supported as you move through trauma, anxiety, and life transitions.
If my story resonates with you, I would be honored to support you as you navigate your own. I offer virtual trauma therapy and EMDR for individuals across Colorado.

Values, identity, healing
My practice is rooted in deep respect for your lived experience, your cultural and familial background, and the many identities you carry. As a trauma therapist in Colorado, I offer EMDR therapy, nervous-system–based approaches, and trauma-informed, inclusive care that honors who you are and where you come from.
I value transparency, collaboration, and consent in the therapy process, and I strive to name power dynamics and systemic influences that may be impacting your well-being, especially for those who have experienced trauma, marginalization, or chronic stress.
I believe healing is not about “fixing” you, but about gently reconnecting you with the parts of yourself that have had to adapt, protect, or go quiet in order to survive. In our work together, I bring a trauma-informed, nervous-system–aware approach that honors both your story and your body’s wisdom. Drawing on EMDR, somatic and nervous system regulation work, and mind-body practices, I move at a pace that centers your safety and choice, offering structure and guidance while honoring your intuition and inner knowing.
My hope is that therapy feels like a grounded, affirming space where you can explore, grieve, imagine, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others—with more clarity, self-compassion, and a felt sense of support in your healing.
